Autologous fat transfer means, taking out the fat from tummy and transferring it to face. That is person’s own fat is transferred from one region of body to another.

Frequently Asked Questions

The complete procedure is done under local anesthesia. Local anesthesia is injected into tummy skin.  A canula is then put under the skin and moved in to and fro direction . Its attached with a syringe creating negative suction. thus fat gets accumulated in it . a total of 100 to 200 ml fat can be withdrawn in one sitting.

Fat is then kept for half an hour . This separates the fluid from fat.

Fat is next transferred to smaller syringes. Its then injected into face under the skin. Thus the volume loss is instantly replenished.

Slight swelling , pain and bruising can be there for few days post surgery. A course of anti inflammatory, antibiotics  and painkillers is prescribed. All swelling settles by two weeks. Around 50 percent of the fat transferred get lost in a months’s time.

Whatever fat is left , remains for 5 to 10 years.

Whatever 50 percent remains remains for years. Thus, little overfilling is done at the time of the procedure.

Filler are ready made syringes of transparent gel called hyaluronic acid. generally a person requires 4 to 10 ml of substance for antiageing. Filler would be way more expensive than fat transfer. Filler also leads to swelling and bruising for few day . But it’s comparatively less. So person can return to normal life early.
